Jack has a big interest in cars, including driving, fixing and rebuilding them. Having a young family also inspires Jack to work hard and keeps him busy in his spare time!

Our Environmental Commitment

At Shredded Neat, we are equally committed to providing top-tier security services and supporting environmental conservation. We help our clients fulfill their green commitments by ensuring all shredded paper and media are collected, securely packaged, and transported to trusted recycling mills. There, the shredded paper is transformed into "recovered fiber," which is then used to create various consumer paper products, giving the material a second lease to life.

Through our dedicated recycling efforts, we save millions of trees each year. Each tonne of recycled paper saves 380 gallons of oil, 7,000 gallons of water and around three cubic metres of landfill space. We take pride in our zero-waste-to-landfill policy, utilising a low-emission fleet and the latest technology in our shredding machinery. This commitment not only ensures secure and efficient recycling but also significantly contributes to reducing our carbon footprint.

Accreditations

Shredded Neat has been ISO accredited since 2013, just one year after the company was formed, and we are unusual in the shredding industry as we carry full ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation.

ISO 9001

To gain ISO 9001 accreditation, our management systems must be of the highest quality and reliability, which means they are benchmarked against an external international standard and third-party (externally) audited to ensure compliance.

This allows for the company to be qualified for larger tenders and well as ensuring we can ensure compliance with all UK legislation, including the new GDPR regulations. Being certified to the standard ensures quality control and also sets the highest standards for other companies to aspire to.

ISO 14001

Our ISO 14001 accreditation provides a business with a certification to this international environmental management standard. As with ISO 9001, this is externally audited and validated each year. We produce objectives and targets each year to ensure the continued environmental improvement of our business as set out in our environmental policy.

This means that we can demonstrate our environmental sustainability and the robustness of our systems to ensure our services do not harm the environment, produce as little waste as possible and achieve the highest levels of recycling and reuse. These ‘green credentials’ are extremely difficult for companies to attain and we are very pleased to have held these accreditations without interruption since just after we started the business.

A company with ISO accreditation must adhere to the requirements of the standard in order to stay certified. Our ISO certificates (copies of which can be provided on request) provide a guarantee of quality and performance for our customers.
